Subatomic Strangers
Alternative pop/rock & allround eighties vibes
Subatomic Strangers is a Belgian female-fronted band from Roeselare, West Flanders, founded in 2019. They bring alternative pop/rock with an all-round eighties vibe.
In September 2022, the band released their debut album Special Satellite, from which songs like Enough Of You, DE.JA.VU, Up Here Alone, Troubled Mind, Pretty Faces and the title track Special Satellite have already been played on various radio stations in their home country (Radio IRO, Radio Benelux, WBRS, Quindo), as well as in the UK (EK101 Alternative Radio, Belter Radio, Chat and Spin Radio), Spain (Careta Radio), Peru (Indie Perú Radio), Chile (Radio Siente) and Brazil (Rádio Play Rock).
Furthermore, they have so far released five music videos, which, incidentally, they have produced themselves. In one year, the clips together generated more than 111,000 views, of which Enough Of You has a whopping 39,000. Not bad for a band that has not been around that long.
In December 2022, the lady and her three gents made a trip to the UK where they performed at Waterloo Music Bar (Blackpool) as support act for the British Blondie tribute band Blondied and played as headline act at Percy's Cafe Bar (Whitchurch). That same month, they performed at Sportpaleis Antwerp, Belgium's biggest concert hall, as support act for Belgian major artists Bazart, Oscar & The Wolf, Lost Frequencies and Dimitri Vegas.
By 2023, much is already in the pipeline. For instance, the band will record a second album in April. Furthermore, many gigs are already planned both at home and abroad. These include the band's return to the UK in May for a mini tour.
The four have already proven themselves worthy of many stages. Their catchy synth melodies, spacey guitar riffs, tight basslines, groovy drums and sensual vocals open up a gateway that will lead you to another dimension!
